John Seabloom Drives Stickstow Forward Through CDH Entrepreneurship Program

At Stickstow, we’re all about taming clutter with smart, Minnesota-made storage racks—but today, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our own rising stars, John Seabloom, a junior at Cretin-Derham Hall (CDH) in St. Paul. As part of CDH’s innovative Entrepreneurship and Innovation program, John is bringing fresh energy to our family-run, veteran-owned business, helping us organize the world one rack at a time.

John, a proud Raider who plays JV hockey and varsity football as a punter and kicker, isn’t just hitting the ice or field—he’s hitting the ground running with big ideas for Stickstow. Inspired by his dad, Coach Jim Seabloom, who founded Stickstow in 2018 to solve the chaos of scattered hockey sticks and baseball bats, John’s diving into marketing strategies to grow our reach. From garages to dugouts, his work is making waves.

One of John’s boldest moves? Reaching out to CDH alum and Minnesota Twins legend Joe Mauer. John penned a heartfelt letter, sharing Stickstow’s story and sending a BatStow rack as a thank-you for inspiring young athletes like him. He’s hoping Joe’s feedback will spark new connections with pro teams, building on our sales to MLB clubs like the Mets. “CDH’s Raider pride runs deep,” John says. “Connecting with alumni like Joe feels like a home run for Stickstow.”

John’s also got social media buzzing. During the NHL playoffs, he crafted an Instagram post cheering on the Minnesota Wild, showcasing how our 2.0 Stow and Go—with its game-changing snap-in bottom—keeps sticks ready for fans and players. The post, tagging @mnwild, lit up local hockey fans, proving John’s knack for tapping Minnesota’s sports passion. He’s even shouted out garage organization pros like @simplyorganized, linking Stickstow’s racks to clutter-free homes.

Behind the scenes, John’s crunching numbers. He analyzed our Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). His research into ABS pipe extruders, like Intek Plastics in nearby Hastings, MN, aims to streamline our supply chain, keeping Stickstow’s production local and lean. “It’s cool to see how a family biz works,” John shares. “Every pipe counts!”

CDH’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation program, part of the school’s CDH NEXT initiative, empowers students like John to think like business leaders. Through hands-on projects, he’s learning to balance creativity and strategy—skills he’s applying to Stickstow’s $10,000 growth plan, which includes expo booths, Instagram ads, and alumni outreach. His teacher’s seeing real-world impact, and we’re proud to see John carry the Raider spirit forward.

From locker rooms to closets, John’s vision is helping Stickstow organize lives. Whether it’s a BatStow for a high school team or a Stickstow One for a janitor’s closet, his ideas are building a brighter future. Stay tuned for more from this young entrepreneur, and shop our racks at stickstow.com to join the clutter-free revolution!
